Returns Policy


General Policies

  • Yanmar Tractors, Utility Vehicles and Attachments are not eligible for return.
  • Eligible items must be returned to Yanmar within 30 days of receiving the merchandise.
  • Yanmar will accept returns for most stocked parts.
  • No returns on electrical components.
  • Returned parts must be new, unused, and in original packaging.
  • Yanmar will reimburse reasonable ground shipping costs when the error is ours.
  • Expedited shipping costs will not be reimbursed.
  • Items returned to Yanmar not originally purchased from Yanmar will be returned to the individual attempting to process the return; shipping fees are the responsibility of the individual attempting to process the return.
  • Returns sent COD (Cash on Delivery) will not be accepted.
  • Yanmar cannot accept returns on any of the following:
    • Items more than 30 days from the date of sale;
    • Electrical parts (if package is opened);
    • Items not in original condition (i.e., showing indications of installation and/or usage);
    • Damaged items;
    • Kits that have been opened (including, but not limited to, maintenance kits, carburetor repair kits, gasket kits, starter repair kits, etc.).

Credits and Shipping Costs

  • Credit for the original purchase price and applicable tax will be issued within 30 business days of Yanmar's receipt of the returned item(s). Core credits will also be processed within 15 business days.
  • If the return is the result of an issue caused by Yanmar (i.e., damaged or defective items, wrong part shipped), Yanmar will cover the freight charges on the replacement items.

Items purchased online and shipped to a home address can be returned free of charge via UPS

  • Obtain a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA) by contacting Yanmar customer support.
  • Yanmar Customer Support will email a printable UPS shipping label.
  • Sign in or create an account:
    • Select “My Orders” tab;
    • Select “Return Items” option.
  • Package the items for UPS
    • The return package must have 2 labels attached, both supplied by Yanmar Customer Support. Note: The combination of these 2 labels enables proper shipping, billing, and tracking to ensure you are credited quickly and accurately:
      • (1) Return Goods Authorization Label (RGA);
      • (2) UPS (ARS) label.
  • Drop off your package to any location that has regularly scheduled UPS pick-up service.
